How can I prevent my candles from smoking?

Candle smoking is generally caused by long wicks. To stop your candle from smoking, trim your wick to approximately 5mm – 8mm before each burn. 

Your wick will gradually get longer as it burns, causing smoke and black soot to form around the edge of your candle holder. Trimming your wick will prevent it from smoking, as long as you don’t burn it for more than 4 hours at a time.
