TERMS OF TRADE - October 2009

The schedule below outlines our basic terms, freight rates and claims procedures.

New accounts
To obtain a credit account a credit application form must be completed and approved and then only issued at the discretion of Southern Lights Candle Co. All new accounts will be proforma for the first three (3) orders..

Settlement terms
30 days nett. We reserve the right to charge an account keeping fee of 2% per month for all overdue accounts. Any accounts in default of payment shall be unable to obtain credit on further orders. Debt recovery expenses will be charged on top of outstanding accounts, where an account collection agency is used. Outstanding credits expire after 6 months.

Early payment discount
5% discount will be offered for all orders of minimum quantity where payment by credit card or direct deposit is received at the time of order placement or where payment is received before despatch of goods. A 10% discount will be offered for pre-paid orders of the Jentag range, where the order totals $1000 or more.

Damage goods claims
All claims for damaged goods or short orders must be received in writing within 7 days of invoice date. Do not sign consignment notes without recording obvious damage on the docket. Please note that reps are not authorised to picked up any returns unless cleared with head office within seven days of delivery. Goods left as per customer instructions and not signed for, hold no recourse for damage claim.

Payment of accounts
Accounts may be settled using one of the following options Mastercard, visa card and Bankcard, cheque and direct deposit Cheques must be cleared for proforma orders, please allow 7 days.

Discounted Items
Discounted items attract no further discounts. The discounted item's full price will be used to calculate freight.

Minimum order
SOUTHERN LIGHTS RANGE: Minimum order $150.00 excluding GST and freight.

JENTAG RANGE: Minimum order $300 excluding GST and freight.

MIXED RANGES: Minimum order $350 excluding GST and freight however we will cater for smaller top up orders under that value.

*The handling fee for less than minimum orders has now been reduced to zero, however minimum freight rates will apply.

Freight rates
Freight zone guide outlined below-

Zone 1: Metro Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
10% of order value or actual whichever is the lesser,
$20 minimum charge.

Zone 2: Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne suburbs, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Canberra. NSW,
Victoria and Queensland zone two.
10% of order value or actual whichever is the lesser,
$25 minimum charge.

Zone 3: All other areas except remote
12% of order value or actual whichever is lesser,
$25 minimum charge.

Zone 4: South Australia, Tasmania, North Queensland (areas north of Rockhampton) and remote country.
15% of order value or actual whichever is the lesser,
$35 minimum charge.
